Canyon Collected is an original Colorado grass band whiskey bent on blurring genre lines and creating new music rooted in an all american cross country experience. Each member brings something unique to the table influenced by a multitude of genres, artists, places and time. They write love songs, drinking tunes, pop hits, murder ballads, they like to take time and improv a jam, take chances and push their limits. They play a heavy dose of original music, the occasional obscure cover song, and tunes any crowd will enjoy.

Canyon Collected has played many stages, street corners, dive bars, radio stations, and festivals since first going on tour in fall 2013. In 2014 They played the Starwater Stage at the Arise Music festival in Loveland, CO, the late night stage at the Recipe Family Cookout near Columbus, OH, and were featured at Vigil Stock in Lafayette, IN for the second year in a row. They are lucky enough to have played with idols and friends like Travis Warren, current lead singer of Blind Melon, the Rumpke Mountain Boys, Mustered Courage from Australia, Ekoostik Hookah, The Recipe, Pete Pidgeon, Flatland Harmony Experiment, New Old Cavalry, Devil Train, Rising Creek String Band, and many others. They shot their first music video in Yellowstone and the Paradise Valley in Montana with Ethan Confer Photography. Canyon Collected has also performed live on the radio in Fort Collins on 88.9 KRFC and in Louisville, KY on ARTXfm. They recorded their first album at Dead Bird Studios in Louisville while on tour in 2013. A new album, a new video and another cross country tour are in the works for Canyon Collected in 2015.

  • Brothers Gow
    06-06-2015 : 10 pm
Borrowing from a massive cache of influences, Brothers Gow, based in San Diego, CA, by way of Flagstaff, AZ, is a funk-rock-improv quintet that relies on thoughtful lyrics, deep grooves and improvisational tact to keep each show sounding fresh and unique. The band’s energetic stage presence combined with powerful vocal harmonies, complex arrangements, ripping guitar solos and the band’s awe-inspiring lighting makes each show memorable. Relentlessly touring and committed to their sound, they have criss-crossed most of the western United States since 2007, playing landmark venues such as Nectar’s in Seattle, Orpheum Theater in Flagstaff, Rialto Theater in Tucson, The Top Hat in Missoula, Brick and Mortar in San Francisco and House of Blues in San Diego.

Brothers Gow, composed of Alex Gow Bastine (keys, vox), Carson Church (bass), Kyle Merrill (guitar, vox, trumpet), Ethan Wade (guitar, vox), and Nathan Walsh-Haines (drums, vox) serendipitously landed in the beautiful coastal city of Ocean Beach in San Diego where they were finally able to hone their true style & sound using the ocean as their inspiration. Their lighting designer and additional band member, Matt Collier (MC6), brings his own artistic nuance to add to the overall live experience. With a three tier intelligent lighting rig and advanced software, Collier uses texture and movement to create a truly dynamic and engaging light show.

Brothers Gow is poised and ready to make huge strides in 2015. They’ll be embarking on an extensive Summer Tour and are releasing their 4th album, Reflections, due out soon. The new album features a mix of uptempo ballads, proggy instrumentals, angelic harmonies and introspective lyrics meant to inspire loving what you do and doing what you love. Also to mention is the establishment of the Brothers Gow Foundation for Music Education and the opening of Ocean Beach Rock and Roll – an all ages school for the Ocean Beach community to be able to learn a multitude of instruments at any level!

Be on the lookout for this genre bending, eye dilating, groove modulating quintet that lives for the road and breathes for the show.

    Bio

20 Grand is a 7 piece band that has been writing and playing songs in western Montana for over 4 years. They formed in 2009 when guitarist and musical director Jamie Simpson recruited Vinnie Rannazzisi for drums/vocals/sound engineer and Rebecca Nelson on tenor saxophone/flute. Shortly after this, a horn section developed with Eric Gates on baritone saxophone and Nick Simko on trumpet. The band cycled through a couple bass players before Chris Arndt joined the band to fill out the rhythm section. In 2011, 20 Grand added two new members: Eric (E Rock) Kanter on vocals, Toby Ferguson on percussion/vocals and Kerri Joy on vocals as well. After the departure of Kerri Joy, the band brought in another singer, Emily Clark. She has moved on as well. And 2013 Chris left the band and now we have Matt Seymour to round out the rhythm section.20 Grand can easily pop the party off with their funk stylings, but don’t be surprised if you hear some soul, rock, hip hop, ska, go go, and even afro beat mixed into a set.
