  • Jon Wayne and the Pain
    07-14-2016 : 10:30 pm

For nearly a decade, electronic reggae-dub innovators Jon Wayne and The Pain have been crafting a unique sound, one that features a mesmerizing blend of modern age electronic beats fused with upbeat traditional roots reggae and a fresh layer of grooving funk to keep the soul moving in all the right ways. The Twin Cities-based ensemble burst onto the festival scene in 2007 following their debut self-titled album, and has since built a highly devoted following through multi-dimensional jamming, extensive touring and influential songwriting. Inscrutable and unpredictable, Jon Wayne and The Pain’s cutting edge style has taken them across the nation to some of the country’s biggest music festivals including Electric Forest, Summer Camp, Cali Roots and Wakarusa. Their transcendent live performances and fluid chemistry has propelled them to forefront of reggae music, and with an ever-changing musical paradigm it is evident that this Midwestern quartet is an absolute force to be reckoned with.

  • 20 Grand
    07-15-2016 : 10:30 pm

20 Grand is a 7 piece band that has been writing and playing songs in western Montana for over 4 years.

They formed in 2009 when guitarist and musical director Jamie Simpson recruited Vinnie Rannazzisi for drums/vocals/sound engineer and Rebecca Nelson on tenor saxophone/flute. Shortly after this, a horn section developed with Eric Gates on baritone saxophone and Nick Simko on trumpet. The band cycled through a couple bass players before Chris Arndt joined the band to fill out the rhythm section. In 2011, 20 Grand added two new members: Eric (E Rock) Kanter on vocals, Toby Ferguson on percussion/vocals and Kerri Joy on vocals as well. After the departure of Kerri Joy, the band brought in another singer, Emily Clark. She has moved on as well. And 2013 Chris left the band and now we have Matt Seymour to round out the rhythm section.

20 Grand can easily pop the party off with their funk stylings, but don’t be surprised if you hear some soul, rock, hip hop, ska, go go, and even afro beat mixed into a set. Check us out on the internet atwww.20grandfunk.com.

  • Shred Kelly
    07-28-2016 : 10:30 pm

Since their inception, the Fernie, BC based “Stoke-Folk” band have been re-defining what “folk music” means in Canada. Through their individual pan-Canadian backgrounds, Tim Newton, Sage McBride, Jordan Vlasschaert, Ian Page-Shiner, and Ty West have amplified the traditional sound of folk music with a more contemporary approach. They have humbly pioneered Canada’s modern folk sound – pushing the boundaries of the genre, and creating “Stoke-Folk” – a genre that truly encapsulates the peaks and valleys that define Canada.

Shred Kelly has garnered themselves sold-out shows with 200-300 people across Canada. They’ve performed at some of the Nation’s premier festivals, and received a growing list of awards and recognition. Their initial success is largely due to the fun, accessible, and genuine love they have for performing live.

Shred Kelly has just released their 3rd album – “Sing To The Night” – on January 27th 2015. The new material shows the growth and depth that the band has explored throughout the creative process, and once again demonstrates their signature claw-hammer banjo riffs, layered ambient synth, powerhouse rock, and sweet vocal harmonies. Their acclaimed producer John Critchley (Elliott Brood, Dan Mangan, Amelia Curran, The Once) from Green Door Studios was a master at creating an album that pushed their creativity and gave Shred Kelly a new take on their signature sound. Their music is a perfect blend of “stoke” and “folk”. That translates perfectly onto an album, or a packed dance floor.
